Users of Durham company were pleased with a state decision; Cromwell residents were asked to double appropriation

25 Years Ago: The users of the Durham Center Water Co. were delighted with the preliminary decision rendered jointly by the state Department of Public Utility Control and the state Department of Health.
25 Years Ago: Cromwell residents at a town meeting were asked to double the appropriation for legal fees, based on the expenses involved in two appeals of lower court rulings. First Selectwoman Mary Amenta said another $20,000 was needed from surplus for the remainder of the fiscal year.
