Deep River First Selectman reflected on 1986; Regional District 17 faced lots of decisions

25 Years Ago: There was some rough riding for Deep River First Selectman Robert R. Stalsburg in his first year in office, but there also appeared to be some smooth spots. The year 1986 heralded some good news like the funding received to construct an addition to the library, despite the many issues the town encountered.

25 Years Ago: Regional District 17 faced a year of decisions in 1987 as the Board of Education sought voter approval for a building program to address space and facilities problems at aging elementary schools in Haddam and Killingworth.
