Middlefield Selectmen hired firm; Salem woman charged with reckless driving

25 Years Ago: Middlefield Board of Selectmen voted to hire the firm of Shipman and Goodwin to represent the town’s interests in labor-related issues.

25 Years Ago: A Salem woman was charged with reckless driving after her vehicle struck a picket in the District 1199 strike against the Harbor Crossing Skilled Nursing Care Facility on Ferry Road in Old Saybrook. Phyllis Dionne, 26, of Cungy Road, Salem, was charged in the incident. The picketer was not injured.
