Haddam and Killingworth board of selectmen favored a Region 17 building plan; Two-year-old found face down in pool

25 Years Ago: A joint meeting of the Haddam and Killingworth board of selectmen resulted in a 5-1 consensus in favor of Regional 17 building plan calling for construction of a new elementary school in Killingworth and additions to the existing Haddam and Killingworth elementary schools.

25 Years Ago: A 2-year-old girl, of Westbrook, who was found face down in a neighbor’s pool was reported to be in fair condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital’s intensive care unit. According to a police report, Gillian Hepburn wandered from her own yard at 43 Magna Lane across a dirt driveway into a neighbor’s yard.
