A proposed sewer ordinance reviewed by the Middlefield Board of Selectmen represented a major step towards clearing up the legal problems that have held up major commercial and residential development on Route 66. The passing of a municipal ordinance had a possibility of enabling the town to enter into an agreement with the city of Middletown, which owns the sewers.
