Luau held at Ivoryton church; condo construction rejected

25 years ago: The Ivorytown Congregational Church in Essex held a Hawaiian Luau night serving traditional Polynesian food and drink.
Old Saybrook Zoning Commission rejected plans from James Cahill and the Solari brothers to change the zoning off Ragged Rock Road for the construction of condominiums.
